Welcome to my talk page! Leave me some love! (please no hate) If posted a message, I will reply on both your page and my page so that others who come 'round can follow the discussion without having to change pages. I ask that you be civil and assume good faith. Hope you're having a great day, and that it gets better. Needa laugh? Click here.

Hi. I saw you were one of the major contributors at the Sean Bell article so I thought you might be interested in helping me with this article. Best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 07:26, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Civility warning

[edit]

Since you say you don't need the refresher course on Wikipedia policy, you can consider yourself on a civility warning. If you feel the need to be rude and nasty to other editors, I suggest alternate methods of coping with your issues. Or, as the old adage goes: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Good day. Trusilver 18:55, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Show me where I was rude or nasty. I said to go away. I also said I didnt need this crap. I didnt call you a name, I called her/him a troll because they wouldnt let something lay. And instead of letting it lay, they've contacted you. I havent followed them. I havent harrased them. I havent stalked them. Get over it. You having "nothing on me". I'm not scared of admins. What are you gonna do, block me for having a goddamn bad day? Block me for having to deal with a silly person who kept bothering me? Block me for saying my mind? Show me exactly where this has disrupted the wiki on a grand scale and I will lay off... but you cant. So, again, walk away and shoo. Qb | your 2 cents 01:43, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Worth the fight?

Given that my request started this discussion, I'd ask both of you to "hey, please, take it easy." Yes, I found you rude and nasty, Qb, (if you should be curious why, I'll sure let you know; else I don't want to warm up old stuff) and somewhat arrogant (regarding the photos, but again, let's not belabor it unless you're curious). And yes, I've appreciated that you, Trusilver, were willing to step in. On the other hand, I think that this "nastiness and rudeness" was not bad as what we unfortunately in other comments on Wikipedia, let alone many other websites. And moreover, my reaction to what I considered nasty and rude was a bit ironic/provoking as well (I'd say "just a bit"--but you, Qb, probably see it differently!). And after all, we probably all want to contribute to Wikipedia, so we're kind of all on the same side. Aren't we all the good guys in the Wikipedia universe? :o) Then let's better join forces than fight over who's nasty or not. Maybe we can all be more patient and friendly (and voice concerns more patiently) next time we feel annoyed... and give up our grudges in the meantime. Not sure if you think now that I'm arrogant to assume that I could decide that or comment at all or whatever... but I just thought I'd try. :o) Warm regards to both of you, Ibn Battuta (talk) 18:52, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy that you've had the last word? Shoo. Qb | your 2 cents 05:09, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Queerbubbles. This is the sixth issue of WikiProject Puerto Rico's newsletter. The newsletter is intended to help all members to keep up with the latest news relating to the project. Continuing our new format, this issue will discuss the news, achievements and other incidences relevant to our project between fall and winter. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:34, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flags and records

Greetings, during the past months, there has been a lot of activity and active discussion surrounding articles within our scope. Of particular interest is one that took place in Flag of Puerto Rico, in which several project members exposed their points of view regarding the tones of our flag. Ultimately, research brought forth a severe loophole in the regulation employed by the Senate of Puerto Rico. Our flag doesn't have official tones! Attempting to prevent future conflicts, I presented a proposal in the project's talk page. The subsequent discussion served as an perfect example of consensus. Thanks to everyone for your participation. In other news, our friend Tony the Marine added another impressive achievement to his brilliant resume. On December 8, 2008, his DYK hook for Ivan Castro (soldier) broke the previous all-time record for more views, receiving 71,300 visits. Tony has also been actively cooperating with this Newsletter, the inclusion of a new "Did you Know?" section, was entirely his idea. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:34, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The issue of weather it is proper to use or not, the flag of Puerto Rico in the article of the "Puerto Rico Campaign" infobox has come up. This one of those cases that I believe that it is important that others express their opinion in the Talk:Puerto Rican Campaign. Please participate. Input on Virginia Gentlemen AfD

Hi--as an editor who has worked on University of Virginia related pages, I wanted to ask you to take a look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Virginia Gentlemen. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
