Admins, please refrain from blocking this IP address. This IP is shared by almost all Singapore Internet users (Singapore's population is over 4 million). Blocking it will prevent all Singaporeans from using Wikipedia, resulting in massive collateral damage.

If you have been affected by a block to this IP, please sign below. In addition, please sign to support Wikipedia:Blocking policy proposal. Thank you.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

(see directly below)

Decline reason:

If the vandal continues to abuse the autoblock function, I strongly suggest you use the Wikipedia secure login at https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Special:Userlogin -- this should hopefully work around this problem. Thanks, Can't sleep, clown will eat me 09:26, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have been blocked because of collateral damage several times now and each time find it extremely frustrating to spot errors ranging from typos to data errors in articles or an article into which I can insert additional data to improve its quality and eagerly click on the edit this page button, only to see a user is blocked message, then trudge through several pages of the list of currently blocked IP addresses and users and see that this block expires the day after at a certain time, then remember that the time is UTC and I am in a UTC+8 time zone, then calculate when I will be unblocked Singapore time, by which time I have forgotten what is it I wanted to contribute in the first place and therefore cannot contribute it. Indeed, this happens so often I often click on the edit this page button in articles just to see if I am blocked, with an uneasy premonition that I am. Since this IP address is used by so many people, I believe there are many other people who also suffer from the inability to edit Wikipedia due to collateral damage. In this case, it is not collateral damage; it is an autoblock because User:1 Meat and 2 Veg has used this IP address. But it LEADS to collateral damage, with results as described above. Therefore, I request for this IP address to be unblocked. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.156.6.54 (talkcontribs) 08:58, 31 July 2006

<<unblock|Perhaps it was inevitable that this had to happen, with the closeness of blocks and unblocks on the block log; almost a whole day has passed since this IP address was last unblocked, so the inevitable block had to kick in due to scattered vandals across the country. Anyway, now Singapore is blocked for two days and 4 million people can't edit. Please unblock this IP address, no matter how notorious.>> 202.156.6.54 08:10, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Hello. I am not an admin, so I can't unblock you. I think I should let you know that this IP is likely to be repeatedly blocked due to excessive vandalism by many users of this IP, some of which are repeat vandals, and this situation is unlikely to change. I checked the block log, and your block is a softblock. I strongly recommend you create an account on Wikipedia. You will then be able to edit when this IP is blocked (and it will frequently be blocked). Creating an account will also help you immensely when editing Wikipedia, as you will gain access to more features and will be able to build a positive reputation. --J.L.W.S. Vandalism

To Singaporean vandalisers - stop it. You are only making a bad example of Singapore to the world, considering Wikipedia is worldwide. Already, the Western countries are talking of us as "the country which caned the boy and banned the chewing gum". You want them to add "vandalised the biggest encyclopedia on a daily basis"? Think before you act, please. I know for a fact that the HCI Sec 3 batch has many vandals. --Terrancommander 06:26, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Heehee. If Singapore gets a bit of airtime for being "Wikipedia vandalisers", it certainly draws attention away from our idiotic leaders and our miserable human rights record. --202.156.6.54 12:46, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hello! I'm glad you're contributing to Singapore general election, 2006. However, I have had to restore a few sections you removed, because there was no explanation. It is recommended to use a edit summary to explain changes. Also, avoid needless capitalisation of occupations. Cheers! Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (Be eudaimonic!) 14:34, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. Hi. Adding Spam to the RuneScape Article

Hello there. I'm sorry, but the fansite link you added to RuneScape (or a related article) has been removed. It has been decided that only one fansite link, to the site with most traffic, is to be included in the article. This is due to to a controversy some time ago, after a very large collection of fansite links built up in the article. For more information, please see Wikipedia's, or the Meta-Wiki's rules on external links. If you would like to change the fansite link, please discuss it first at the article's discussion page, or at the RuneScape portal. Thanks, J.J.Sagnella 06:10, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Undeletion Request

{{user recovery}}

Dear Deathphoenix...several users and I have been in charge of an article called Kai Wong and we have spent many days and hours on it. We have complied with Wikipedia rules but this page has frequently been vandalized by other Administrators who are racist or worse still deleted. These deletions have been carried out without any discussion and I fear fascism of information. As none of us are Administrators, we are unable to undelete this page. Could you kindly do this? Suggestion

I supposedly come from this IP, I think. Is it possible for Wikimedia Foundation to block the entire IP, but allow usernames from this IP to log on? Like that, you require a username to work, but IP cannot. I know there is a failed vote to stop IPs from editing, but is it possible to make certain IPs not edit except for their registered users? I have been blocked once from Wikipedia and thrice from Uncyclopedia so far. --Terrancommander 06:21, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I wish to express my frustration at the Wikipedia authorities, as I have already been subjected to similiar at wikibooks. I would also like to tell you "archaeology" is spelled wrongly in the paleothic japan article, and all I wanted to do was to edit that. I did not even manage to doso. Once I clicked "edit this page", I was blocked from doin so. I am extremely frustrated at borgqueen, who does know that this IP address is shared by hundreds of people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
