Proposed merge

We have ended up with two pages about this player: here at John Flanagan (footballer born 1993) and at John Flanagan (English footballer). I created the second page, unaware that the first one had been created as it had not been linked from anything. I propose this page here is merged into John Flanagan (English footballer), as that is the correct disambiguation (as per Danny Wilson - there may be better examples) and also it is the fuller article, and the one that is linked from the relevant pages. - mspete93 20:47, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merged! Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 00:20, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'd have been bold and done it myself but I didn't want it to look like I was favouring my own article too much. - mspete93 09:47, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jon/ John

Why was this page moved to Jon Flanagan without consensus? That isn't the correct spelling and now I can't move it back. Zbase4 (talk) 22:52, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Right/left sides

He plays on both the right and the left. I think the wording in the lead and infobox needs to reflect that. —86.169.210.196 (talk) 12:55, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide a reliable source for this claim and it will be considered for inclusion. JMHamo (talk) 13:40, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Per your own edit summary [1], this "claim" is already sourced. Kindly consider that... (Though I'd suggest the Daily Telegraph [2] or the FA [3] might perhaps be considered for inclusion as a better RS.) 86.169.210.196 (talk) 14:23, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fully protected

I've fully protected the article for four days as there have been edits and approvals of edits on both sides of the dispute. Please discuss the content in question here first. Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 05:50, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
