How about showing how the expressions for SWU and value function are derived?

Jess and I are working on it, but if we can come up with something better than the references already cited, it probably won't be acceptable on WP. David MacQuigg 16:46, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Make this article more useful to non-technical readers

[edit]

I was asked by @Ancheta Wis to improve this article. The problem I see is that for most readers, there is too much incomprehensible math. I put together a spreadsheet with a plot to visualize the SWU function, and an interactive table with a few interesting examples and ability to generate more examples with whatever inputs the user may chose.

My spreadsheet was deleted by @VQuakr as Original Research. Yes, that it is, but on something as non-controversial as this, do we need to enforce the rules to an extreme? David MacQuigg 12:15, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's not an extreme enforcement, it's a policy that we're required to follow. Quit characterizing mundane stuff as "extreme", please.
The math on this is quite simple. VQuakr (talk) 16:25, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. Anyone who is serious about the math can make their own spreadsheet. Sorry for calling your rule enforcement "extreme". I will move this article to Citizendium, where the rules are a bit less rigid. David MacQuigg 18:27, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
