@Saswata 7773: I'm not checking anything. If you make a claim, you should bring proof, not require other people to do the searching. This source, which is typically considered reliable, says she turned 32 on 22 August 2017, which would put her birth year at 1985. Unfortunately, we can't go by your personal knowledge or beliefs, as that would constitute "original research", which cannot be independently verified. It's also not likely that her own statement would be useful, since actors often fudge their ages to get more work for longer periods. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:17, 16 January 2020 (UTC)

If this is something that irks Bhattacharjee, why doesn't she contact Indian Express and sort it out with them? If she proves to the reliable secondary source that her birthdate is incorrect, they can verify it, issue a correction, and the discrepancy will be resolved. Year of birth Issue

Both references from Indian Express and RepublicWorld mention that her birth date is in 1985. This was unquestioned for years. Someone is very eagerly trying to change it now. As Cyphoidbomb mentioned, it is like the actress herself wants to fudge her age. If it happens again, I suggest changing the article to semi-protected for some time. "Controversy"

The alleged "controversy" I removed in this edit is entirely meaningless gossip fodder. Someone was murdered, Bhattacharjee's phone number happened to be in someone's phone, the police asked her questions, and that was the end of that. What is the controversy? This happens to thousands of people every day. This has zero academic worth as it doesn't tell us anything about her accomplishments, character, etc. and it places undue emphasis on a negative event, a murder, that she had nothing to do with. Hello. Due to the discrepancy for her birth year in the sources provided, there isn't any solid verification that she was born in 1990, at least not as of yet. Although 1990 may be correct like you said, that doesn't mean we should include 1990. I understand why you may seem to think she was born in 1990 because of the sources you've provided. However, this source you've presented, there is no clarification that she was born in 1990. If someone tells you they are 27 years old, it's impossible to guess their birth year, and this source does just that with no further context about her birth year. Hence, this source is declined for proof. Next, this source you've provided seems to be like a user-generated site to me, but idk, I could be wrong. But if this is the case, it does not meet the reliable sources guideline so it's an unreliable source which ultimately won't justify its inclusion. In the last source you've presented, all that it mentions is Happy Birthday with nothing mentioning her age or DOB. If I am missing anything, please let me know because I quickly viewed the sources you gave here and it is possible I might be wrong. Whether 1985 is correct or 1990, it's best that we leave out her DOB in the article for now, until more reliable sources can prove that she is in fact born in x year. Here I have counted the years and it specifically goes to 1990 and the sources doesn’t need to say the date of birth when the age says it all please read see it carefully above about the counted years this as well that the sources I gave were right. So I should be with 1990 year rather than the other. It is possible to guess their year birth because I have counted the years of age.

Also to clarify in this source [5] it does say her age here read the whole article first. It’s said it under her picture on top she turned 28 today. Hope you understand that is possible to guess their date of birth year with the age.

In the first source, it says she turned 27 years old with no further context of when the article was published; that's what I meant that it would be impossible to guess her birth year because we simply don't know when the article was written. 2015? 2016? 1954? I won't be able to change it to 1990 without any reliable sources confirming her DOB. That fundamentally violates WP:BLP. If you want her DOB to be added, please find a reliable source that clearly states her DOB, but if you or others can't find any, it's best that it's left out for now. Note that you can add her DOB yourself once the protection for the article has been lifted. But please be careful as unreferenced/poorly referenced additions to any BLP will definitely be reverted. So it should be 1990 so please add it as the reliable sources says it’s all that if the age is their that means for example she was 26 in an article given by Prince it does mean she was born in 1990 as for the other year there is only one source which I have checked and is no other news have said this. And found another source with her correct of birth with a reliable source [6] Read the article carefully. So it’s five sources which I have given. I have given loads of her being 1990. I have given 6-7 sources which are reliable.
