Significance

Kumbh Mela 2015 was inaugrated at Trimbakeshwar[1] by Maharastra Chief Minister Mr Devendra Fadnavis in the presence of Union Minister Rajnath singh with prayer,the blowing of 'shankhanad' (conch shell),showering of flower petals and the traditional flag hoisting at historic Ramkund in Nashik and at Kushavarat in Trimbakeshwar, both venues being 45 kms away, amidst tight security.[2][3]

Infrastructure

Kumbh Mela 2015 had an infrastructure cost of Rs 2500 by Maharastra Government for various amenities like water,power,lodging,security,transport etc towards various micro and macro projects across 22 departments.[4]
