Hello, Welcome to my user page. I have created my account under the pseudenym Jon Hobynx as I wish to remain anonymous, so please do not be alarmed if you cannot find any literature bearing my name if you search. I have been editing wikipedia for about 12 months without and account, mainly correcting spelling mistakes and punctuation while surfing articles. I finally decided to create an account as someone encouraged me to on the talk page of my IP address, and also as my IP address is shared by other editors on my network.
About me
I am a materials scientist/chemist by profession and have a PhD from an Australian University. I have done postdocs in the UK and the US, and I have been working back in my native NZ for the last five years. I frequently travel with my work, and this has opened my eyes to many cultures.
What I plan to edit
I mainly wish to continue editing randomly as I surf wikipedia, however I have noticed that biographical articles on kiwi materials scientist and chemists are thin on the ground, so I may create some in the future. Also being of Maori descent I am interested in my ancestry, and fascinated by aboriginal cultures around the world.
Trivia
I love trivia sections in articles, although I have noticed a lot of editors are not fond of them. If I add trivial facts, I will try to incorporate them into the body of the article!
