Error on main page

Hey Outriggr, I'm not sure if I understand what you'd like on the main page. But if you can type it out in the corrected syntax, I'd be happy to update it for you.Balloonman 03:55, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks as if somebody else fixed it.Balloonman 03:56, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Outriggr: I wonder if you would mind reviewing/copyediting my article on Bruno Maddox that is currently at FAC? You seem to be literature-oriented and so is my subject, Bruno Maddox. The article is currently in the comment-comment-comment stages at FAC but seems to be generally going well. Any advice you might have would be much appreciated. Best, BillDeanCarter 06:13, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Outriggr, thanks for all the help. The article seems to be coming around nicely. There's a lot of back and forth but the prose seems to be settling now.-BillDeanCarter 08:19, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I like the way you reworked the second paragraph in the SPY section. You definitely clarified the whole target market part, and I like the addition of how the NY villains were no longer on the national stage. I'll have to see if I can rephrase the forgery part.-BillDeanCarter 10:46, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I completely missed your comments until now, but thank you. (I'm not used to such a busy talk page.) –Outriggr  02:20, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peace be with You

Im gonna work on Joy Division with WesleyDodds for a while, but the next time I knock on you door it'll be for Las Meninas. How about you, how far do you think Ulysses is from a nom. Ceoil 06:57, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"brave the stings and narrows of outriggrous FACtion" - I get the ref but it seems empty somehow. Do we have an FA on a poem yet. We should, and you are just the man to deliver it Do it, go on, Do it do it it Just the man cameras satellites Ceoil 23:00, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"you knew I was here didn't ya" - can't find you at all, looked all around...where are are you; Oh jesus, not behind the curtain. Sandy! Ceoil 23:26, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:38, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See, you have to get up early to put one across Sandy. Ceoil 23:46, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re: Joy Division, Nothing wrong with Love will Tear Us Apart; but I'm going to guess you heard blue monday once every so often during the mid 80s? BBS and all. Ceoil 02:07, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was there too! Ceoil 02:11, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This might help Outriggr out. WesleyDodds 02:15, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are psychic! I wrote something a few minutes ago, got an edit conflict and didn't realize it: "What, no wiki article for it? Hm, I'd have to hear it. Maybe a 20 second OGG with appropriate fair use rationale will appear in my gmail account?" Thanks –Outriggr  02:18, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Damn you WesleyDodds. You made Outriggr happy. Ceoil 02:21, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well I'm screwed because I was confusing Joy Division with... someone else. JD and Gary Jules were both on the Donnie Darko soundtrack and I thought Gary Jules covered JD. Nope, he covered Tears for Fears. Have I adequately insulted you and the band you like by confusing JD and Tears for Fears? In my defense, Mad World is kind of a JD style song, isn't it? –Outriggr  02:29, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The kindest words I can think of are: dear oh dear. Looks like war again to me. Ceoil 02:35, 1 September 2007 (UTC

Snookered

Hrm, you bastard. There is no way I can recover from this without looking like a right ejit. Well done; once again. Ceoil 02:54, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, Outriggr. You're absolutely right, we can't have the title Swedish emigration to North America with that content, I don't know what I was thinking. After waiting in vain to be struck by inspiration to add a bit about Canada, I've changed the title instead. Thanks again for the copyedit. Bishonen | talk 17:02, 31 August 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for "The Canadian Content Award" barn star. It's nice to be appreciated. --YUL89YYZ 10:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More thanks

Hi Outriggr, Thanks for the information and the welcome. Infrogmation said more or less the same thing on Wikimedia, so I now know you are both right!  ;^) Roger.beaumont 20:33, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Public Domain Books

Thanks for showing some interest in my question at WP:MCQ, which looks likely to go unanswered. I guess no one has the expertise or confidence to go out on a limb and say it's legally defensible to harvest a database like EEBO for whole books. Anyway, please let me know if you get any more satisfying or definitive answer to this general question in the future! Cheers, Wareh 14:19, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
