Lincolnshire-Prairieview School District 103 is an elementary school district in Northeast Illinois serving areas including Prairie View, Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, parts of Mettawa, Riverwoods and Lincolnshire, Illinois, where it is based . The district consists of three schools: Daniel Wright Junior High School, Half Day Intermediate School and Laura B. Sprague Elementary School. Students graduate to Adlai E. Stevenson High School. The superintendent of schools is currently Dr. Larry Fleming. Other administrators include Katrina Bruley, Daryl Handcock, Mark Westhoff, and Julie Postma.

Lincolnshire_Prairieview School District 103 is known for their phenomonal academics and their high success rate in state tests. Students at Sprague school are in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Students at Half Day are in grades 3 through 4. Students at Daniel Wright are in grades 5 through 8.

Daniel Wright, the district's junior high, is known for their academic success and sport success. Daniel Wright has won the feeder school into Stevenson High School's competition in basketball and volleyball. The girl's 7th and 8th grade basketball teams are the reigning champions for the past 8 years. The boy's 7th grade basketball team is the reigning champions for the past 3 years. The girls and boys volleyball teams are all reigning champions as well. Their scholastic bowl team has held the Illinois state title for the past 2 years, has gone to state for 4 successive years, and placed 3rd and 2nd in the two years before they won the championships. Their science bowl team came in third in the nation for academics and first in the nation for the hydrogen fuel cell car competition.

The district inked a new six year contract with its teachers union at the beginning of the 2007 - 2008 school year.

Zachary Blumenfeld, an 8th grader as of 2006-2007 school year, has gotten into the national geography bee and got a perfect score on the ACT test, a feat very hard to accomplish.

Theodore Yuan, an 8th grader as of 2005-2006 school year, placed 4th in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Theodore is now at Stevenson High School.
