MTV Networks Europe is a division of MTV Networks International a subsidiary of Viacom. MTV Networks Europe launched its first channel MTV Europe in 1987 from Amsterdam, but based in London. MTV Networks Europe is primarily based in London (MTVNI) and in Warsaw (MTVNI Emerging Markets group) with local offices in a number of key regions throughout Europe; Paris, Stockholm, Dublin, Vilinus etc. Since the 1990s MTV Networks Europe, broadcasts various European channels including MTV Europe,VH1 Europe, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, VIVA and TMF channels. Nickelodeon in the UK is broadcast by Nickelodeon UK, as a joint venture between Viacom and BSkyB.

Being based in the United Kingdom, all MTV Networks Europe channels are regulated by the British television regulator Ofcom regardless of whether they are available in the UK. Ofcom has granted licenses to MTVNE to broadcast the following channels:
