The FAI Cup 2007 is the 84th staging of The Football Association of Ireland Challenge Cup or FAI Cup. This season's edition was the first to be sponsored by Ford.

The 2007 FAI Ford Cup officially kicked-off in late April, when twenty clubs from the junior and intermediate leagues battled it out for the chance to face eircom League of Ireland opposition in the Second Round.

The ten winners of those ties were joined in the Second Round by the 22 eircom League of Ireland clubs.

The competition is scheduled to run until late November, with the final due to take place on Sunday, November 25th.

Final

The Football Association of Ireland announced that the 2007 FAI Ford Cup Final will take place at the RDS Grounds, Dublin, on Sunday, December the 2nd.

The venue will have a capacity of 18,000 of which 16,500 are seated.

The final will be screened live by RTE and the kick-off time will be announced at a later date.

It will be the debut appearance of an FAI Ford Cup Final at the Ballsbridge venue but is not the first time the RDS has hosted soccer. It was home to Shamrock Rovers during the 1990s, and also hosted a senior international between Ireland and Wales. There are four clubs – Bohemians, Cork City, Longford Town and UCD – left in this season’s competition.
