Moose Harris, the British bass guitarist b. December 17th 1967, was formerly known as Jason James Harris, until June 2001, but legally changed his name to reflect his former nickname and professional alias of 'Moose'. He was recruited at age 17 by New Model Army to replace their original bass player Stuart Morrow ca. 1980-1985.

He contributed to New Model Army's milestone albums, The Ghost Of Cain (1986) and Thunder & Consolation (1989), before leaving the band in 1990, when he was replaced by Peter Nelson Nice.

In late 1992 he joined seminal punk/goth rock band, The Damned. He left again in mid-1995 having recorded the Not of This Earth album with them during 1994. He was replaced by ex-Gun Club and ex-Sisters of Mercy member, Patricia Morrison.

Between 1996 and 2007 he was the bass guitarist for Pantswith former / Lurkers drummer Dan Tozer, guitarist Fal and a rolling line-up of disposable singers including Sean Wratten, Ivor Richards and Ian 'Ollie (sic)' Oliver.

He currently plays for retro-future pop band The Pieshop Boys and Bastard Squad.
