Elias of Jerusalem (494-516) was a bishop of the 6th century CE. Elias was Patriarch of Jerusalem until being deposed by Emperor Anastasius I for supporting the decrees of the Council of Chalcedon.[1][2] He was the main opponent of the monophysites in the Synod of Tyre.[3]
