Oda Katsunaga (1568-1582) was a son to Oda Nobunaga throughout the latter Sengoku Period of Feudal Japan. Even though being a potential heir to headship over the Oda, Katsunaga was ordered to be taken up by his aunt in Iwamura castle at an exceedingly young age; but as such a castle would be captured by forces under the Takeda during the year of 1572, the young boy become a hostage to the latter at the mere age of four. However, by means more than likely through desperate consequence to be seen sympathetically to the eyes of Oda Nobunaga, Takeda Katsuyori would become convinced to allow Katsunaga to return to his former domain in 1581, where he was allowed the delegated hold over Iwamura castle of Owari province. One year into the future, Katsunaga, for reasoning unknown, accompanied his father to Honnoji; but as Akechi Mitsuhide struck forth at such a domain and felled his former lord, Katsunaga's life would be subsequently taken within the same process.
