Since April 4, 1988, Nederland 3 is the third and youngest Dutch public net used by member-based non-profit broadcasting organizations (Publieke Omroep). It is the home channel of the VPRO, the VARA, the RVU and the NPS. The channel focuses on news, debate and culture. Before the evening, however, its programs are aimed at children.
