Gel pen

Gel Pens are gel inked ball point pens. They come in many different sizes and in a huge variety of colours. They are primarily used for thin patterns or writing, but can be used for colouring small areas in a specific colour.

Design

In general, each gel pen is built like a ballpoint biro. They have a barrel and a cap. They also have a unscrewable metal head. All have grips, some have rubber grips and some are plastic

Types

There are several different types of pens. There are different sized nibs: 0.5 mm lines, ranging right up to 1.5mm lines. There are also scented varieties: e.g. chocolate, strawberry, mint, vanilla and coffee

Colours

The colours can range from dark browns to bright yellows and there are several different types of colours.

Normal - These are the normal set of colours one would expect e.g Black, Blue, Red etc

Metallic - These are the metallic versions of the normal colours including Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Glittered - These are colours with glitter added to them to give a sparkly effect

Mixed - These are diferent colours mixed together in the ink to for an intresting effect of ink colour. These usually use pastel colours
