Shayne Ward

Shayne Ward, from Manchester, born 15 October 1984, is the winner of The X Factor in the UK. He won the competition for the 16 to 24s under the watchful eye of his mentor, Louis Walsh, defeating Andy Abraham by 1.2% of the votes, after an enormous vote of 10.8 million.

While on The X Factor, Shayne was mentored by Louis Walsh. His first single, That's My Goal, was released in shops on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 and is the bookmakers' odds-on favourite to be the Christmas number one in 2005.

Trivia

  • Shayne has six siblings, including a twin sister.
  • Shayne was the Bookies' favourite to win The X Factor but beat runner up Andy Abraham by just 1.2% of the vote.
  • Shayne also reached the final 30 of Popstars: The Rivals.
