Stanovci is a small village near the city of Vučitrn in the northeastern part of Kosovo.[a] In fact it is made up of two villages, Gornje Stanovce (Upper Stanovce)[1] and Donje Stanovce (Lower Stanovce).[2] Stanovci is situated between the river Sitnica and the Pristina-Mitrovica road. It is approximately 15 km (9 mi) from the Pristina. The village has a population of about 2000. The land is mainly used for agriculture. The mountain of Čičavica rises to a height of 1,091 m (3,579 ft) to the west of the village.
