HD 103197 is a 9th magnitude K-type main sequence star located approximately 161 light years away in the constellation Centaurus. This star is smaller, cooler, dimmer, and less massive than our Sun. Also its metal content is thirteen-eighths as much as the Sun. This star has a brown dwarf companion. Also in 2009, a gas giant planet was found in orbit around the star.
