Dafen is a village situated east of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Dafen is part of the Llanelli Rural community and is close to Felinfoel, Llangennech, Bryn and Pemberton.

At the 2001 census the Dafen ward had a population of 3,433.[1] The village has both residential and industrial areas, and Llanelli's Prince Philip Hospital is located here.

It also host a minor football club and cricket team which strive to win a game.

Famous residents include Nathan 'the netch' Francis a local clown.

Also it was a stronghold for where the Soviet Union harboured spies in the UK during the cold war due to the local residents sympathetic outlook to the Communist struggle.

Dafen used to have a studio where different strokes was filmed but the studio closed due to health and safety hazards.
