Kris Deedigan is a British actor best known for his portrayal of Des Townsend in the long-running Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.
Career
Deedigan's first main role was playing racist Des Townsend in the Channel Four soap opera, Hollyoaks which he began filming in 2009.He has also appeared in Emmerdale and for the BBC. Before Joining the cast he was at the National in 'The Pitmen Painters' a brilliant show. Kris studied at Newcastle College and Bretton Hall. Kris was born in Newcastle and is a genuine Geordie.Kris has worked on Film, TV, Radio and Theatre. He won critical acclaim for his role as Marty in The Lovers By Bridget O'Connor, Live Theatre, Newcastle. Kris has just finished a two week project with 12 to 19 year old young people in South London for My Life Productions in partnership with Southwark Targeted Youth Support Services. Also working on the project for My Life Productions were Fraser Ayres (The Smoking Room, Adulthood) and Ed Gaughan (Skeletons)The film will have it's premier at the Peckham Multi-Plex.
