Hard Rock Casino Albuquerque presents: The Pavilion[1] (simply known as The Pavilion but often acknowledged as Hard Rock Pavilion) is an outdoor amphitheater located within the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is a part of the Bernalillo County Recreational Complex.

The amphitheater opened in February 2000 as the Mesa del Sol Amphitheater. This was a part of Mesa del Sol, a planned community, currently under development in Albuquerque.[2] In December 2000, the local news paper, Albuquerque Journal purchased naming rights and the amphitheater was thus known as ABQ Journal Pavilion (or simply Journal Pavilion). During the 2009 concert season, the venue's lawn area was expanded increasing the capacity from 12,000 to 15,000. In March 2010, the newly built Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Albuquerque purchased naming rights and the venue became known as The Pavilion.

The Pavilion has hosted a number of notable acts including Dave Matthews Band, Britney Spears, Aerosmith, Rihanna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Eagles, [, KISS, Kenny Chesney, Van Halen, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and Blink 182 among others

The Pavilion has also hosted festivals, including Mayhem Festival, Uproar Festival, Gigantour, Projekt Revolution, Ozzfest, Crüe Fest and Crüe Fest 2.
