Kamen Rider Baron (仮面ライダーバロン, Kamen Raidā Baron) is a fictional character and secondary protagonist of the 2013-2014 Kamen Rider Series Kamen Rider Gaim.

Kaito Kumon

Kaito Kumon (駆紋 戒斗, Kumon Kaito, portrayed by Yutaka Kobayashi) is the leader of Team Baron who has a strong hatred towards the Yggdrasill Corporation for shutting down his father's construction company and redeveloping Zawame from the ground up, growing up in a poor household with the ideals that the strong take what they want and manipulate the weak. As leader, he is very disciplined and puts that work ethic into his teammates. Despite his broody nature, he has a soft side for young children. As Team Gaim starts to get popular with Armored Rider Gaim's presence in their Inves Game matches, and noticing how the group it defends rather than go on the offense, Kaito gets a call from Sid and receives a Sengoku Driver along with the Banana Lockseed. Challenging Kouta the next day, making it personal by chiding the youth's inability to use his power correctly, Kaito reveals his new status as Team Baron's Armored Rider. After taking their match to Helheim Forest, Kaito obtains some Lockseeds that he uses to buy various Beat Rider teams into his services to serve as Team Baron's back up dancers. However, the alliance ends up being short lived when the leaders of Teams Wild Raid and Invitto turn on Kaito after they become Armored Riders themselves. When he resolves to get more power after his team loses their first place standing, Kaito finds Mai in Helhiem Forest and learns that they are similar in retrospect of the Corporation's effect on their families.

Kamen Rider Baron

By placing a Lockseed in the Sengoku Driver and cutting it open with the Cutting Blade, Kaito can transform into the European knight-like Kamen Rider Baron. Depending on the Lockseed used, Baron can invoke an Arms Change (アームズチェンジ, Āmuzu Chenji) and don a suit of fruit-themed armor called an Arms (アームズ, Āmuzu) which are summoned from the Helheim Forest.

Banana Arms

Banana Arms (バナナアームズ, Banana Āmuzu) is Kamen Rider Baron's usual banana-based armored form, giving him access to the Banaspear. When transforming into Banana Arms, the Banana Lockseed announces "Banana Arms! Knight of Spear!" (バナナアームズ! ナイト オブ スピアー!, Banana Āmuzu! Naito Obu Supiā!). His finishing attack is the Cavaliend (キャバリエンド, Kyabariendo) kick.[1]

Mango Arms

Mango Arms (マンゴーアームズ, Mangō Āmuzu) is Kamen Rider Baron's mango-based armored form, giving him access to the Mango Punisher. When transforming into Mango Arms, the Mango Lockseed announces "Mango Arms! Fight of Hammer!" (マンゴーアームズ! ファイト オブ ハンマー!, Mangō Āmuzu! Faito Obu Hanmā!).[2]

Equipment

Sengoku Driver

The Sengoku Driver (戦極(センゴク)ドライバー, Sengoku Doraibā) is a device that allows Kaito to harness the true power of the Lockseeds, transforming him into Kamen Rider Baron. By placing a Lockseed in the Drive Bay (ドライブベイ, Doraibu Bei) then locking it in the device by the Lock On Arm (ロックオンアーム, Rokku On Āmu) then using the Cutting Blade (カッティングブレード, Kattingu Burēdo) on the belt to "slice" the "fruit" open, this causes a giant fruit-shaped armor from another dimension to fall from the sky, transforming Kaito into Kamen Rider Baron. Kamen Rider Baron's Sengoku Driver has a Rider Indicator (ライダーインジケーター, Raidā Injikētā) faceplate on the side of the belt that features an illustration of Kamen Rider Baron's helmet and shouts "Come on!" (カモン!, Kamon!) when the Cutting Blade is used.

Lockseeds

Kamen Rider Baron's powers come from mysterious devices known as Lockseeds (ロックシード, Rokkushīdo), which are the transformed state of fruit from the Helheim Forest. Lockseeds have special designations and have different Class types.[3]

  • Banana (バナナ, Class A): A Lockseed given to Kaito along with the Sengoku Driver which allows Kamen Rider Baron to wear Banana Arms and wield the Banaspear. Its designation is "L.S.-08".
  • Mango (マンゴー, Mangō, Class A): A Lockseed found in the Helheim Forest which allows Kamen Rider Baron to wear Mango Arms and wield the Mango Punisher. Its designation is "L.S.-11".
  • Himawari (ヒマワリ, Class D): A Lockseed generally used in Inves Games which allows Kamen Rider Baron to summon a fully manifested Elementary Inves. Its designation is "L.S.-00".
  • Kurumi (クルミ, Class C+): A Lockseed generally used in Inves Games which allows Kamen Rider Baron to summon a fully manifested Elementary Inves. Its designation is "L.S.-02".
  • Rose (ローズ, Rōzu): A prototype Lockseed that unfolds into the Rose Attacker Lockvehicle. Its designation is "L.V.-02".

Bana Spear

The Bana Spear (バナスピアー, Bana Supiā) is Kamen Rider Baron's giant lance-like Arms Weapon resembling a peeled banana, accessed when in Banana Arms. Its finishing attack is the Spear Victory (スピアビクトリー, Supia Bikutorī).[4]

Mango Punisher

The Mango Punisher (マンゴパニッシャー, Mango Panisshā) is Kamen Rider Baron's giant morning star-like Arms Weapon resembling a diced mango, accessed when in Mango Arms. Its finishing attack is the Punish Mash (パニッシュマッシュ, Panisshu Masshu).[5]

Rose Attacker

The Rose Attacker (ローズアタッカー, Rōzu Attakkā) is Kamen Rider Baron's personal Lockvehicle (ロックビークル, Rokku Bīkuru) motorcycle, allowing him to transverse into Helheim Forest once it reaches a certain speed.[6]
