St. Val's Mystery is a 1945 French film starring Fernandel directed by René Le Hénaff.

Plot

An insurance-office clerk dreams of being a great detective. The clerk's uncle, who also happens to be his boss, sends his nephew off on a wild goose chase during which he uncovers a real life murder.[2]

Reception

The film was a big hit in France, recording admissions of 2,397,153.[1]
