Welcome to my user/talk page!
Hello! Please leave a new message. I will respond to your message as soon as possible. Thanks and happy editing!
  • If I left you a message; please answer on your talk page, then place {{talkback|Username}} or {{whisperback|Username}} on my talk. And if you leave me a message; please do watch my talk page and if there is something urgent, I will answer on my talk page, then place {{talkback|Username}} or {{whisperback|Username}} on your talk.
  • Please post your new topic at the bottom of this page or at the bottom of the respective section, and use a new "==Descriptive heading==" for new topics.
  • Indent your comment when replying by using an appropriate number of colons ":"
  • Sign and date your entry by inserting four tildes "~~~~" at the end of your message.
  • I will generally respond here to comments that are posted here, rather than replying via your talk page (or the article talk page, if you are writing to me here about an article), so you may want to watch this page until you are responded to, or specifically let me know where you'd prefer the reply.
  • Avoid personal attacks, do not troll or use this page as a chat room.
  • Please, always assume good faith.
  • If the topic is something personal, then please Email me and then leave {{ygm}} on my talk page.
  • And if you are impressed by my contributions, thus want to appreciate it, then please consider giving barnstars.
  • I am in school, so I may be away or inactive for varying periods of time, especially if I have exams. Although I will try my best to respond as fast I can.

Hello, Komchi. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions! I'm W.carter, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.
Some pages of helpful information to get you started:

Some common sense Dos and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't commit vandalism
  Don't get blocked
If you need further help, you can:
  Ask a question
or you can:
  Get help at the Teahouse
or even:
Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page, and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Your recent edits

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:23, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Dwpaul. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Jordan Maron, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dwpaul Talk 00:29, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Editor's Barnstar
Hello Komchi. I am giving you a Barnstar! You seem to show a lot of signs of a great editor. You seem enthusiastic about editing Wikipedia, you seem like a good learner, and you have some userboxes on your user page displaying some great things regarding Wikipedia. That is all great! Another reason is because you said "Send me some WikiLove" on your user page. :) DangerousJXD (talk) 03:53, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Thanks for contributing your time to learning contributing to Wikipedia through mentorship at The Co-op. The Co-op is actually a very new project on Wikipedia, and you've been a great help in helping us improve it so far. We want to get your feedback on your use of the Co-op in addition to your experience with your mentor and editing Wikipedia generally. When you are able, please take the Qualtrics survey here to give us your feedback. With your help, we can make the Co-op and mentorship helpful for different needs, and expand the space for many editors to use. The non-free picture on your user page

Hello Komchi! I see that you unfortunately have posted a non-free picture, File:MarioSMBWalk.gif, on your user page. If you look at the page of that picture, you will see that it has a non-free Licensing. Such pictures can not be used on any page but the article page for which the license is given. Read about it at Wikipedia:Removal of non-free images. You must remove it immediately. I'm sure you can find some other nice picture instead. Just be careful not to use those with the non-free license. Best, w.carter-Talk 09:51, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! When you ask questions at the Teahouse in the future, it would be for the best if you provide links when they are needed. Inspire Proposal Next Round, Wikipedia Gender Index, Be On The Team?

Hi, The Wikipedia Gender Index (WIGI) grant proposal meta:Grants:IdeaLab/WIGI:_Wikipedia_Gender_Index, which you signed up as a participant to, has passed first round of review and is in the second round. I spoke with the Wikimedia foundation today about next steps; and one of them is to confirm the team. Would you still like to be on the team? Let's chat to see about your role in the project. Please get in touch with me over email at isalix@gmail.com, or give me a call at +1 510 842 6295. Maximilianklein (talk) 21:15, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help with page notice

@Acagastya: I see when some one edits your talk page it gives a page notice can you tell me how did you do that?Komchi 09:16, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Are you referring to WP:Ping? — Yash! (Y) 10:28, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Yash!:No I mean suppose I am on your user talk page and I click on Edit Source button. It warns you to do nothing stupid and add signposts etc. I want to know how to do that. Komchi 13:23, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ah that. You need to create User talk:Komchi/Editnotice for that (like User talk:Yash!/Editnotice) with the message you like the editors to see. — Yash! (Y) 13:35, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Yash!:Oh thank You so much!Komchi 14:01, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Komal, I wasn't here. I was travelling at that time. Going to Yash!'s city. For exam! And thus I could not let you know! I see you got a page notice.
Don't take me in a wrong way: But you should have something different? Let your creativity flow here. You can do much more things in it! Even the text. Have some modifications as per your choice. You can present the same matter in visually different format. I don't know if you enjoy HTML or not, but don't have same thing. Yash! might not have any problem with this. But don't you think here we have some relaxation do decorate it as our will?
*P.S. Don't take it as personal attack. I know I sound a bit rude, but I am so sleepy now that I can't present it properly. Goodbye!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
