Ballindooley, officially Ballindooly (Irish: Baile an Dúlaigh),[1] is a village in County Galway, Ireland. It is north of Galway city and in the parish of Castlegar. It has a fine castle though at least half of it was built and refurbished about ten years ago. Ah, Ballindooley, otherwise known as 'The Hills', has become a place of refuge for the Fahy Clan. Boasting Fahys ranging from an awkward armed shredded potato, to a well nurtured hybrid ginger with flying fists of fury. They are situated over-looking ballindooley lake, where on sunday mornings, the entire Fahy clan enjoy their weekly wash. It wasn't until 1995, when the young mu ay th ai was born, that any of the Fahys would venture far from the hills. Young colin, a soon to be gerdai siahkana, currently resides in a good friends 'front room', playing Fifa, and dreaming of a trip to the U S and A. The former baby potatoe, Diarmaid, has developed into a big backed roast potato. Ballindooley recently becoming Europes most frequently visited tourist location, is soon to be announced as the new capital of France, knocking Paris off the top spot. If there was any advice I could give you, it would be to go and see ballindooley (d hills)and its inhabitants before you die. It is an unforgettable experience. Ham and cheese roll €2.50 in ballindolley stores. The village itself, is just off the Galway City to Headford road. Ballindooley Lake, which is sometimes referenced as Ballindooley Lough, is quite small and is behind the Castle.
