Emma Robinson (born 26 September 1994) is a New Zealand swimmer who hs qualified to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Personal life

Robinson was born on 26 September 1994 in Wellington, New Zealand.[1] She studied at the Victoria University of Wellington.[1]

Career

At the 2016 New Zealand open swimming championships Robinson beat her personal best time in the 800 metre freestyle event, finishing in a time of eight minutes 31.27 seconds, nearly three seconds under the required qualifying mark for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Fellow New zealand swimmer Lauren Boyle also swam under the qualification time in the same race.[2]

On 15 April 2016 Robinson was named as part of a squad of eight swimmers to represent New Zealand at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she is due to compete in the women's 800 metre freestyle.[3][4]
