Notice Coming here to ask why I reverted your edit? Read this page first...
Welcome to my talk page! I am an administrator here on Wikipedia. That means I am here to help. It does not mean that I have any special status or something, it just means that I get to push a few extra buttons to help maintain this encyclopedia.

If you need help with something, feel free to ask. Click here to start a new topic.
If I have not made any edits in a while, (check) you may get a faster response by posting your request in a more centralized place.

You can email me from this link but in the interests of Wiki-transparency, please message me on this page unless there are pressing reasons to do otherwise. Comments which I find to be uncivil, full of vulgarities, flame baiting, or that are excessively rude may be deleted without response. If I choose not to answer, that's my right; don't keep putting it back. I'll just delete and get annoyed at you.

University of Kansas "Ancient Central America" course assignment

This is just a heads-up to let you know that I'm once again having students create Wikipedia entries for a course this semester. I've posted the information for them here:

Dwapara Yuga / Yoekteshwar

Hi Doug, I'm Robert ( RobCZ ) and I think the last correction must have been five years ago on the particular year we are in according to this interpretation of Yoekteshwar. Swami Yoekteshwar wrote his Holy Science in 194 Dwapara ( 1894 ), thus currently we are in 316 Dwapara. Kind regards Robert, Amsterdam, Holland

Nuragic civilization

Hi i have reinserted the section about the language, the source cited about the possible alphabet came from a 100% scientific publication , Tharros Felix 5:

clumsy English

Hi Joe, Hi Doug! Please go through my text of Tam Pa Ling Cave and correct. ATB Wikirictor (talk) 21:58, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) It wasn’t all that bad, @Wikirictor I gave it a quick once-over.—Odysseus1479 02:33, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks mate for your help, but User:Joe Roe did a lot of editing already. ATBWikirictor (talk) 03:57, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Wikirictor: Looks good. I did a light punctuation edit although others may differ. Doug Weller talk 14:54, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious material (2)

Hi Doug, I know that you're very busy, and I'm sorry if you had deliberately skipped it (as opposed to having missed it), but I had one more important question regarding a matter that needs to be stopped. Its about a so called "source" added everywhere by user "Freedom Wolfs". I presented the matter in a reply to your last message on your talk page. Just in case. Bests - LouisAragon (talk) 03:38, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@LouisAragon:No, I just got too busy and forgot it. I finally found a mention on WorldCat.[3] No copies in the UK, 3 in the US:[4]. I'd say definitely not an RS, but I'd advise you to take it to RSN to make it more 'official'. Tertiary sources such as encyclopedias are sometimes acceptable, but the one being used now? I'd say no. Doug Weller talk 14:50, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Numerous image files copied from elsewhere. I've deleted a couple, raised one here hoping for more attention but there might be a backlog. I wouldn't be surprised if he's doing copy/paste translations. Doug Weller talk 15:22, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
