Calvin Souther Fuller, 1902-1994 was a Chemist at AT&T Bell Laboratories; credited as the co-inventor of the solar cell. Worked with silicon and realized its conductive qualities. These experiments resulted in a 600% improvement in the ability to harness the sun's power into electricity.
