Laura Dunn
Laura Dunn (born Laura Ann Jones; September 26th in Evanston, IL) is an American television host, television producer, actress, and journalist based in Beverly Hills, CA. She is currently the "On Air Luxury Travel Host" for the travel talk show, The Jet Set. A talk show devoted to all things travel. Dunn is the mother of American artist, actress and model Beau Dunn.
She is most widely known for her portrayal of Cricket Box, the wife of Jack, in a series of Jack in the Box commercials that ran from 1996-2010 [1] and an extensive print and modeling career [2].
Dunn was also the creator of the lifestyle blogs Fabulous365 and LauraDunn.com [3], a luxury editor for Genlux Magazine [4], and the current luxury travel correspondent for The Jetset, a nationally syndicated travel-oriented talk show [5].

Early life[edit]
Laura Dunn was born in Evanston, IL on September 26th, to mother Arlene Judith Jones and father John Francis Jones. The youngest of three, Laura has two older brothers. Dunn grew up in Winnetka, IL. and after graduating from New Trier High School in Northfield, IL, Laura attended the University of Arizona. During her second semester, she was called back to Illinois to compete in the Miss Illinois/USA Pageant as Miss Wilmette. After receiving runner up status and winning best in bathing suit, Laura decided to pursue a career in modeling rather than returning to school. It would be later that Laura would return to school at the University of California Los Angeles.

Modeling[edit]
Laura's first modeling agency was The Kim Dawson Agency in Dallas, Texas. It was there that Laura Jones was discovered by Sonja Ekval of Model Team in Hamburg, Germany. It was in Europe that Laura's modeling career accelerated as she began shooting campaigns for Evian, Coke, Adidas, Vidal Sassoon and Puma among many others [6].
Upon returning to the states, Laura became one of the original Jordache Jeans Girls. Dunn (Jones) won the coveted Model of the Year in Dallas, Texas and was featured on PM Magazine, where they followed her life for a month. She shot for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle. She also shot for major catalogues, including American Eagle Outfitters, J.C. Penny, J Crew, Horchow, LL Bean and Neiman Marcus.
Acting[edit]
Laura transitioned to acting in the mid-nineties when she landed the coveted role of Cricket Box in a series of commercials for the fast food chain Jack in the Box [7] [8]. The commercials centered on comedic situations between Laura’s character Cricket Box and her husband, the titular Jack.
Upon moving to Los Angeles in the early nineties, Laura signed with Elite Model Management, and started acting and landed the coveted role of "Jack's Wife" in the iconic Jack in the Box commercials under the helm of the infamous Dick Sittig [9]. Laura played Cricket Box for 14 years and during that time went back to school at UCLA to study Broadcast Journalism. Laura starred in many other television commercials including Sprite, Toyota, Tecate Beer and Budweiser with the famous dog Spuds Mackenzie.
She has also appeared in films, including Disney’s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves [10] [11].
Blogging and Genlux Magazine[edit]
In addition to running her own blog, Laura Dunn also serves as the Luxury Editor for Genlux Magazine [12] [13]. Genlux, a luxury, fashion, beauty and philanthropy magazine, often features Dunn’s editorial fashion and luxury product picks. Genlux is the only premier fashion magazine based in Los Angeles.
Philanthropy[edit]
Laura is on the board of American philanthropist Justin Mayo's Red Eye Charity, a Los Angeles-based charity that "Empower those passionate about the arts to develop their talents in positive environments, thus allowing them to utilize their creativity to help others."[16] Laura is also doing work and fundraising for Re-Member, an organization located in the Pine Ridge Reservation. Re-Member works with the Oglala Lokota to try and improve their living conditions.

Laura has two children, Beau Dunn and Steven Winston Dunn (student). Beau is an American artist, actress and model.
