Egon Monk

Egon Monk (May 18, 1927 – February 28, 2007) was a German actor, director and author.[1]
Biography
Monk was born in Berlin, Germany and grew up in Berlin-Wedding. He served in the German Air Force in World War II (1943–1945). After the war he became an actor. Later he worked for RIAS Berlin (1954–1959) and for the NDR. He died in Hamburg, Germany.
Awards and honors
Monk won three Teleplay Awards at the Baden-Baden TV Film Festival (1966, 1973, 1989) and one German Critics Association Award (1988).[2]
