The International Racquetball Federation's 19th Racquetball World Championships will be held in Haining, China from August 10-18, 2018.[1] This was the first time China will host Worlds, and the third time Worlds have been in Asia. Worlds have previously been hosted in South Korea twice, in 2004 and 2010.
American Rocky Carson and Mexican Paola Longoria are the incumbent champions in men's and women's singles, respectively. Carson is the five time defending men’s champion, and Longoria is the three time defending women’s champion.
In doubles, Alvaro Beltran and Javier Moreno are the defending champions on the men’s side, while Americans Aimee Ruiz and Janel Tisinger are the women’s defending champions. However, Ruiz and Tisinger lost to Kelani Bailey and Sharon Jackson in the USA Racquetball Doubles Championships,[2] so they will not be in China to defend their title.
