NCT 2018 Empathy (stylized as NCT 2018: Empathy) is the debut studio album by South Korean boy group NCT. It was released on March 14, 2018, by S.M. Entertainment and IRIVER. The album marks the appearance of the group's new members Kun, Lucas, and Jungwoo.[1] The album contains a total of fourteen tracks, five of which are previously-unreleased.[2]

Background

On February 5, 2018, S.M. Entertainment released two videos titled "NCT Yearbook #1" and "NCT Yearbook #2", showing all the members from previous units and introducing three new members, Lucas, Jungwoo and Kun.[3][4] A day later, it was revealed that the group will release their first large-scale project with the release of their first full album with all 18 members. The project was titled NCT 2018 and will include the release of six music videos, before the release of an album in March.[5]

Promotion

"Boss" was released as the first music video on February 19. It's performed by NCT U with members Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Taeil, Doyoung, Winwin, Lucas and Jungwoo.[6] On February 26, the second music video released was "Baby Don't Stop", performed by NCT U with members Taeyong and Ten.[7] The third music video for the song "Go", performed by NCT Dream, was released on March 4.[8]
