Sergiu Florentin Ursache
[edit]Sergiu Florentin Ursache (born in Odobești, 11 October 1988) is a romanian rugby player (rugby a 15), playing on second row, flanker. Number 8 during competitions, he played three times with the Romanian national team.

Biography
[edit]Sergiu starts to get close to rugby in Romania, more precisely in Focșani (located in the historical region of Moldova). Almost a year later, he gets summoned with the Romanian nation under 19 and is selected for the World Rugby Cup Under 19 Championship in Dublin (2007). Thanks to Liviu Pascu's mediation, Sergiu arrives in Italy in 2007, playing for team Parma, to dispute the competition Super 10 2007-2008. After two seasons with Crociati Parma Rugby FC, where he wins two editions of Coppa Italia, Sergiu gets hired by Veneziamestre in 2009-2010.
On 13th November 2009 he majes his international debut with the Romanian national team in Piacenza.
After participating in IRB Nations Cup 2010, playing a match against Namibia, Sergiu moves to Scotland at Watsonian RFC, trained by the couple composed by Andy Barnett and Marcus di Rollo (ex international player), to play in the Scottish champonship.
After the scottish experience, on 25th October 2011 he comes back to Italy between the rows of Udine in A1 series for two seasons. in 2012, while he is training with Udine team, he si summoned once again back to the Romanian group for IRB Nations Cup 2012, without, however, playing any game.
After a short period at CUS Verona, during summer 2013 he signs a contract with CUS Torino to wrestle the A2 series championship 2013-2014. After five consecutive seasons at CUS Torino, where he gets the title of captain more than once and is considered a real dragger for the club, in 2018 Sergiu decides to renew the contract with CUS Ad Maiora Rugby for two years and keeps on playing in the A series chamionship.
On the 21st July 2018 he pursues a bachelor's degree in Scienze delle Attività Motorie e Sportive at the university of Turin (Università degli Studi di Torino).
