Info on this weapon

It appears to be a variant of the M1938 mortar based on this article I discovered [1] Nohomers48 (talk) 11:21, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Photo seems to show a modified 120-PM-38 (M-1938).

The weapon in the photo at the top of this article is probably just an M-1938 (120-PM-38) due to the recoil cylinders seen on this example, which are too short to be those of an M-1943 (120-PM-43). The recoil cylinders on the M-1943 were substantially longer, reaching down to approximately 30cm of so from the breech piece. The double loading stop seen attached to the previously plain muzzle was added to many 120-PM-38s and PM-43s during the 1960s or 1970s.SASH155 (talk) 02:47, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
