What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)

Advertising/promotional tag Comment WikiProject tagging Comment

Hey there. I did a lot of research about a year ago and made extensive edits to this page to fix what was pointed out to be advertising/promotional concerns. I thought that all facts were sourced and cited and presented a balanced view based on the available (and credible) information on the subject. In September 2016 this tag went up on the page again. I recently reviewed the whole article again closely and it read as pretty straight forward and factual (to me), but I did edit out some things that may have been considered extraneous (and therefore promotional) and added a minor amount of new citation/research. It would be great to know if there's anything specific that the user who placed the Advert tag considers problematic. It's always best to get the article into shape rather than to let a tag like that linger.Happydadnyc (talk) 19:35, 3 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Happydadnyc: Just wanted to let you know I've added it back in. Thank you for your work on this, unfortunately it still *really* jumped out at me as reading like advertising copy. I'll try not to tag then and abandon. :) Mvolz (talk) 17:18, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just read this article about Neopets not just being bought/owned by Dohring, but being run/structured as a Scientology entity: ‘Childhood Ruined’: Scientologists Reportedly Behind Neopets, 4/18/18, https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/neopets-was-reportedly-run-by-scientologists-and-childhood-is-ruined_us_5ad77cbfe4b029ebe0206f8f
The article mentions that Dohring sold Neopets then immediately started this ABCMouse. I'm wondering if this another Scientology entity, and, if so, should that be mentioned in this article?Colbey84 (talk) 12:47, 19 April 2018 (UTC) [sorry for the extra edits (for formatting)][reply]

COI and promotional edits

An IP editor, with only one edit outside this article, appears to have rearranged the article, removing some references. I am not certain if it's promotional/whitewashing but it appears to be either a COI or undisclosed editing for payment. Ifnord (talk) 19:23, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
