On 1 October 2023, the service began using electric buses.[1]

In November 2024, it was noted that passenger numbers had almost returned to pre-pandemic levels.[2]

The route is operated by First Glasgow on behalf of ScotRail.[2] The service is free to use for customers with a valid train ticket and operates at frequencies up to every 12 minutes.[3]
