Trois noms de savants sur la face Trocadéro de la tour Eiffel (1er étage)

Sur la tour Eiffel, Gustave Eiffel a fait graver soixante-douze noms de scientifiques, ingénieurs ou industriels qui ont honoré la France de 1789 à 1889.

Ces noms s'étalent en lettres d'or en relief de 60 cm de haut sur la périphérie du premier étage. Ils furent recouverts de peinture au début du XXe siècle avant d'être restaurés entre 1986 et 1987 par la Société nouvelle d'exploitation de la tour Eiffel (SNTE).
