| Notes | Canopic jars were used by the Ancient Egyptians during the mummification process to store and preserve the viscera of their owners for the afterlife. The jar with the falcon head represents the god Qebehsenuef and was used to store the intestine. The jar with the baboon head represents the god Hapi and was used to store the lungs. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
