Page mover

I previously requested page mover and received a 3 month trial on August 30th (link here). I do believe I have a need for the right, as I participate in WP:NPP and would like to continue to have the ability to draftify articles without leaving behind a redirect. As previously mentioned, I also patrol newly created user pages and it has sometimes been appropriate to move those pages to drafts, which would ideally be done without leaving a redirect.  Done: More than amply meets the criteria. It also looks like you have been putting the temporary page mover permissions to good use. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 05:18, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to move pages that I've created in user space to main space without leaving behind redirects that then need to be deleted. Thank you! — WILDSTARTALK 23:55, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I would like to request this permission for a few reasons. First, it would help when draftifying articles as part of NPP, and not leaving a redirect. Second, sometimes accepted AfC nominations have to be moved to a temporary title before a page mover can move it to a title currently held by a redirect, following a request at WP:RM. I would like to use the user right to do this immediately. Third, it would be convenient for working in spaces which have subpages to move (such as Portal namespace) without having to do each one individually or go to requested moves (not my main need but would be useful). And finally, moving my own drafts and user pages without leaving a redirect would be quite nice. I would also be happy to help out at WP:RM if necessary. It would be greatly appreciated if I could get the permission or a short trial of it. Thanks, echidnaLives - talk - edits 09:08, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've been trying to fix bad subpages of talk pages (mostly archive pages, see here for a rough idea), and I've frequently ran into issues with either getting stopped by the ratelimit or encountering a blocking page with non-trivial history, or even both (E.g. Talk:2004 United States election voting controversies). Since this would help reduce my time waiting for an admin's response and reduce the workload on admins with the {{db-move}} requests, I'm asking for the pagemover right on a temporary basis.
