Pakistani Name Standards

Is it a cultural norm to only use the first name? Saul (actor) or Saud Qasmi (actor) Darklight Shadows 03:54, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 6 April 2023

Saud (actor)Saud Qasmi – The disambiguator appears irrelevant. "Saud" in a google search returns most results about Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and not the subject of this article. Saud Qasmi instead appears to be the common name. ─ The Aafī (talk) 20:36, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Appears to be overwhelmingly billed and known mononymously. Given Saud of Saudi Arabia was obviously not an actor, I fail to see the confusion. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:38, 12 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Necrothesp: I get more results for "Saud Qasmi" than for the first name of this actor, and that is why I called the usage of disambiguator unnecessary. The comment on the term Saud reflected that I do not find any necessity of using a disambiguator when the article about the subject could stay at Saud Qasmi. Google search results have different aspects and I agree to that. ─ The Aafī (talk) 07:42, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose. Somehow the proposed name feels better to me. But IMDB and other sources in English just bill him as Saud. I have created a redirect which I think is essential. Andrewa (talk) 02:12, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
