Well, there's his Oxford faculty page, his NYU faculty profile, this BBC programme, this page of his at Cornell, his old page at Cornell which he signs Nick, this from the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute, and his entry in Who's Who is headed "Trefethen, Prof. Lloyd Nicholas, (Nick)", which fits that publication's house style of giving a full name and then a name known by. Rather interestingly, in his Trefethen's Index Cards he's Lloyd N. on the cover and Nick in the Foreword. The Royal Society call him Lloyd (no N) at the top of the page, and Nick in the text. This at UCL calls him Nick, but links to this which calls him Lloyd N. So - he seems to be called Nick, but publish as Lloyd N. DuncanHill (talk) 10:24, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And then there's this about the IMA Gold Medal, which first calls him "Lloyd Nicholas Trefethen, and then says "Nick Trefethen (as he is known)…" and "Nick Trefethen has written a number of books..." DuncanHill (talk) 10:30, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And the Royal Society Certificate of Election used as the first reference in the article text has the title "Trefethen, Lloyd Nicholas" and the citation begins "Nick Trefethen is distinguished for..." DuncanHill (talk) 10:33, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
