This template is used to provide a link to the online version of the Dictionary of Welsh Biography (DWB) (https://biography.wales/)
containing details of over 5,000 biographies of individuals associated with Wales.
Note: The shortcut version is "Cite DWB", not "DWB" as that template is used for something else.

Required parameters
- id: Extracted from the last section of the URL: https://biography.wales/article/##-####-###-####
- title: Title of the entry, e. g. EDWARDS, WILLIAM (1719 - 1789), Independent minister, and architect
Optional parameters
Additional information for the title:
- first: First name(s) of the entry's author. For multiple authors use first1, first2 etc. with the corresponding last1, last2, and author-link1, author-link2.
- last: Last name of the entry's author.
- author-link: Name of article on author. See Dictionary of Welsh Biography for a list of notable contributors.
- year or date:
- access-date: the date a Wikipedia editor retrieved information from the Dictionary of Welsh Biography.
- mode: defaults to
|mode=cs1
; set to|mode=cs2
to provide consistency with citation style 2, as produced by{{citation}}
- fewer-links: use
|fewer-links=yes
to remove repeated wikilinks where the template is used more than once in an article - short: use
|short=yes
to change the output 'Dictionary of Welsh Biography. National Library of Wales' to 'DWB'. Can be useful for matching the citation formatting on pages that use abbreviations for citations.
