Welcome to Wikipedia!
[edit]Hello The OG Magi, welcome to Wikipedia, and I'm sorry that I've had to remove some of the material at Ellen Bepp. I'm glad you created this article, but some of the material you included from her profile here was a close paraphrase of the original, too close to comply with copyright law. An admin will eventually go through and remove those version's of the article's history, so it's all sorted out now and you're not in "trouble". (Though, it's important not to repeat the mistake!) I would encourage you to re-add that information, but focus on putting it in your own words. Re-organizing the facts chronologically of thematically throughout the article can be one good way to avoid close paraphrasing.
I would also encourage you to improve the the article with more independent sources, like these: [1][2]. Right now, it's not entirely clear how Ellen Bepp meets Wikipedia's policies around who "gets" an article, as described at WP:NARTIST and WP:GNG. One way to find more independent sources is to try looking up the names of individual exhibits or art works, which might have gotten reviews.
I'm always glad to answer questions or offer advice if there's anything I can help with, and the Teahouse forum is also a great place to ask questions for a quick response. Happy editing! ~ L 🌸 (talk) 02:12, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove the {{copyvio/core}} template from articles, as you did with Ellen Bepp. Your action has been reverted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept non-free text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted, and removing copyright notices will not help your case. You can properly contest the deletion at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. If you are the owner of the material, you may release the material under the Creative Commons and GFDL licenses, as detailed at WP:IOWN. Alternatively, you are welcome to create a draft in your own words at Talk:Ellen Bepp/Temp. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators and/or removers of the copyright notice templates will be blocked from editing. It is very important that you do not remove the warning message at the top of the article (which an admin will remove when they have fixed the article history) and do not re-add the copyrighted text. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 21:54, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
