List of number-one songs

[edit]

2022

[edit]
Zack Tabudlo's "Pano" set several records in Philippines Songs, most notably as the first song to debut at number one and as the longest-running single on the chart with eleven weeks.[2][3][4]
American singer Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" was the longest-reigning chart-topper by a female artist in 2022, with nine weeks on top.[5]
Janine Berdin was the first Filipina singer to reach the summit with the track "Mahika". The song, in collaboration with Adie, was also the first Filipino duet at number one.[6]

Anees' "Sun and Moon" marked as the first international song to top the chart, peaking at number one for five weeks.[7][8]
South Korean girl group Blackpink became the first act to replace themselves at number one after "Shut Down" dethroned "Pink Venom" from the top spot.[9]

In 2022, eleven acts achieved their first Philippine number-one single in the Philippines Songs chart, either as a lead artist or a featured guest: Zack Tabudlo, Anees, Troye Sivan, BTS, Joji, Charlie Puth, Jungkook, Blackpink, Adie, Janine Berdin, and Taylor Swift. Out of the ten number-one songs in the calendar year, six singles debuted at the top spot. Zack Tabudlo's "Pano" became the first song to debut and peak at the summit, making it the first OPM chart-topper and Tabudlo as the first Filipino to reach number one in Philippines Songs.[2][4][10] It was also the longest-running number-one single of the chart so far, having topped for eleven consecutive weeks.[3][11] Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" led the top place for nine weeks, the longest stay by a female artist on top.[5] Charlie Puth's "Left and Right" topped the chart for eight consecutive weeks, while Anees' "Sun and Moon" spent five weeks at the number-one spot after making its mark as the first international number one of the chart.[12][7]

Adie and Janine Berdin's "Mahika" is the first Filipino duet to reach the summit, allowing Berdin to be the first Filipina to lead the chart.[6][13] It set the record for the longest climb to number one in its 17th week, broken in 2023 by "Die for You" by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande.[13][14] Blackpink's "Shut Down" debuted at number one in October, ending the run of Blackpink's own "Pink Venom", both from their album Born Pink.[9][15] The feat made Blackpink the first act to replace themselves at number one, and the only act in 2022 to produce multiple number-one songs.[16][17]
