History
[edit]Taiwan has world's leading semiconductor manufacturing industries like TSMC and UMC. Due to on going advanced research and development in integrated circuit processing and manufacturing, semiconductor foundries and industries often require circuit editing, materials analysis and identification of root cause of failure(s) of devices. Further, they need reliability testing to access performance-efficiency of materials and devices under rigorous conditions. To support booming IC industry of Taiwan, in 2002, Dr. Yong-Fen Hsieh (Distinguished AT&T Bell Labs Employee) founded Ma-tek in Tai-Yuan Science Park, Taiwan. Materials and failure analysis, ESD testing, wire bonding, reverse engineering etc. services were started for semiconductor industries. Ma-tek was certified as ISO 9001 and IECQ 17025 company in 2004. R&D activities in collaboration with universities and industries were also started in 2004.[3],[4],[5],[6] From 2007, Shanghai (China) Lab and Japan offices begin their functioning. In 2008, two new high tech laboratories were established in Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan. Ma-tek became member of Taiwan Nanotechnology Standard Council in 2009. It was listed in Taiwan Stock Market. Lately, the company has started to produce-sell portable Raman spectrometer and SERS substrates. At present, Ma-tek has customer base in America, France, Germany, India, Japan, China, Canada, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.[7]
