Invitation to the April Wikification Drive

Hi. When you recently edited Last of the Time Lords, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SFX (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WP The X-Files in the Signpost

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject The X-Files for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 23:23, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

A-Class assessment?

I was wondering about introducing informal A-Class assessments in WP:TXF, just based on an article by article basis. As an initial sort of pilot, I was thinking that "Triangle" might be a good first candidate. You reviewed it for GA, do you think it's in a good enough state to bump up a grade? GRAPPLE X 00:44, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. Over a first glance, "Triangle" looks great and has expanded A LOT since I reviewed it and probably worthy of A-class. "Squeeze" looks great, too. Glimmer721 talk 00:51, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
If you're happy with it, I'll update "Triangle" now. Not certain about "Squeeze" yet given the lack of contemporary reception but I might be able to fix that if I land one of these Highbeam accounts going round. You applied for one? GRAPPLE X 00:53, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Highbeam? No, (this is the first time I've heard of it) but it looks like a good resource; I'm just not sure I'd use it for a lot. Glimmer721 talk 01:33, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia:HighBeam/Applications. There's at least 1000 free accounts to be allocated so you may as well stick your name down. GRAPPLE X 01:36, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Just did, thanks for the notice. Glimmer721 talk 01:47, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
Not a bother. Hope you land one. GRAPPLE X 01:49, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Hunger Games

I was wondering why prim's cat is not mentioned at all on the character's list, because basicly i think that buttercup is an imprtant part of the story. could you please explain why? thanks! Doctor Who convert

Per my friends' recommendations, I have now watched "The Eleventh Hour", "The Beast Below", "Victory of the Daleks", "Blink", "Silence in the Library", and "Forest of the Dead" (in that order). Unfortunately I really like it so far, which means I'll have to find more time out of an already busy schedule to watch it. :-/ I've been told one's favorite doctor is always the first they've seen, but I think I'm more fond of Tennant than Smith. :) Ruby 2010/2013 19:58, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

My friends have basically scheduled which episodes I watch next (I have no free will in this LOL). One is a huge Tennant fan and loves all his episodes (a bit amusing to listen to her speak of him, actually). ;) I think the next one we're watching is "The Time of Angels" (they showed me the series 4 episodes to provide more background in preparation). I'll keep you updated as to my opinions! Ruby 2010/2013 04:02, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

According to the FLC rules, you cannot nominate Doctor Who (series 5) until "the first [nom] has gained substantial support and reviewers' concerns have been substantially addressed." However, you could always bring the article to GAN; I've seen other season articles do that (including Fringe). Editors have debated which venue (GAN or FLC) is the best for such articles, but I have not heard any particular consensus. By the way, the article looks great! I only read through a little though because I didn't want to get spoiled :) Ruby 2010/2013 05:51, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Take a look

Can you take a look here and tell me on my talk what I need to improve? Thanks, -- Kangaroopowah 19:23, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

DO you think it's GA ready now? --Kangaroopowah 00:29, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback. I'll update the refs later as I'm not really in the mood right now ;) but I'll work on the rest. (If it's fine with you and you're free, could you do the refs). Thanks, --Kangaroopowah 00:42, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

You've made use of User:Grapple X/Good Topics to help plan and organise Good Topic work, so I figured I should drop you a note to say I've moved it to User:Grapple X/GT prep. Eventually I'll be using the original title as a page similar to User:Grapple X/Good Articles so I wanted to move the prep work to another page. I appreciate having some extra help keeping the preparation accurate so I didn't want you missing out in case you thought the page had gone. GRAPPLE X 03:05, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. I've only got a few episodes in seasons 1 and 2 to watch and then I'm hoping to rent 3 from the library when avaliable, so I should be able to help out with reception and plots there. Glimmer721 talk 19:52, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Awesome. What have you seen so far? GRAPPLE X 19:58, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
All of season 1 aside from the finale which I have on DVR (I'll probably watch it tomorrow) and all of season 2 besides "Sleepless", "Duane Barry"/"Ascension", "Firewalker", and "Red Museum". Those will be taping in the next few weeks, though. Glimmer721 talk 20:01, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Those are probably among the best ones there are. What did you make of "Anasazi"? When I first saw it I rushed right out the next morning to buy season 3, no way was I waiting for a cheaper one shipping from Amazon. GRAPPLE X 20:08, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
"Anasazi" was really good. Definitely didn't expect a lot of what happened. Do they explain about the small pox vaccine thing, or is that one of the plot threads they never concluded? Glimmer721 talk 20:13, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
They round it out a bit more over the course of season 3, but it peters out and isn't really that important. It's mostly just a way of adding real-world significance to things by tying stuff to a real event, I guess. GRAPPLE X 20:17, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
