- Keep. Monsieur Giberti is the mayor of Gémenos (evidence) and former conseiller général of Bouches-du-Rhône (evidence), which passes WP:POLITICIAN. Additional sources such as this and this are more than sufficient to pass the WP:GNG. The "discussion" on fr.wiki was simply an unopposed call for deletion, equivalent to a PROD on en.wiki, although it was correct by fr.wiki standards because they have different notability rules from us.—S Marshall T/C 11:11, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Per WP:BASIC, "A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. If the depth of coverage in any given source is not substantial, then multiple independent sources may be combined to demonstrate notability; trivial coverage of a subject by secondary sources may not be sufficient to establish notability." Several sources listed above, (that I checked) pass Notability for people criterion. Furthermore, topic passes WP:POLITICIAN, specifically, "Major local political figures who have received significant press coverage. Generally speaking, mayors of cities of at least regional importance are likely to meet this criterion, as are members of the main citywide government or council of a major metropolitan city." Also, per the nomination's wording, the AfD at the French Wikipedia does not correspond with this AfD for English Wikipedia. Northamerica1000 (talk) 07:04, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
