K1Bond007 (talk · contribs) - K1Bond007 is a familiar name on the WikiProject Computer and video games, where he and Mrwojo created the template that we use on most CVG articles. He also actively edits and patrols James Bond-related articles, and lately he's been helping out a lot on CFD. He has a whopping 12029 edits as of just now. [1] He occasionally asks me to merge page histories, which I don't mind doing, but I think he can be trusted with the tools and responsibility of adminship. Andre (talk) 19:50, August 12, 2005 (UTC)

Thank you Andre, I accept. K1Bond007 20:22, August 12, 2005 (UTC)

  5. Support The little I know of K1Bond007 is enough to know that he is worthy of administratorship, and the little time I have spent on Wikipedia enough to notice his contributions (especially in WikiProject Computer and video games) — and hereby, laud them. 13. Looking at his contributions, he already seems to act like a good administrator. But since he isn't officially an admin at this time, I think we should change that. So, I will support.  Denelson83  06:02, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  14. Support I'm not basing this vote purely on edit count, of course... but.... wow. Just wow. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 06:07, August 13, 2005 (UTC)

Boothy has been identified as using multiple vandal sockpuppets and has been temporarily blocked. It's safe to say his votes no longer count. — BRIAN0918 • 2005-08-15 15:51
Do not strike out any non-anon's votes. It is up to the bureaucrats to consider the validity of votes at promotion time. -- Cecropia | explains it all ® 17:06, 15 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Oppose part of an in-group, so be wary of a POV abuse of powers. The JPS 21:32, 17 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't mind me asking, what's an in-group? Andre (talk) 22:15, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. RC vandalism patrol from time to time. Lately I've been doing a lot of work for CFD. Wouldn't mind helping out there either.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. Most of the articles dealing with James Bond, specifically Thunderball and For Your Eyes Only which I aided in greatly expanding. Bond aside, I work on a lot of computer and video game articles. Sega and Sony Computer Entertainment off the top of my head are two articles that I've made great contributions to in the past.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
A. I got involved in a conflict with User:Boothy443 the other day over changing a category to one that had a consensus per WP:CFD (e.g. Burlington-Bristol Bridge). For this specific one, I essentially backed out and notified User:Kbdank71 after having my edit reverted twice even after notifying Boothy of the reasoning. I'm not really sure what I could have done better in this situation and given Boothy443's track record I decided it wasn't worth it for my part.
