Description

ViroPure RNA isolation kit is designed for purification of high quality viral RNA from serum, plasma (treated with non-heparin anticoagulants), cell culture supernatant, human and animal derived liquid samples such as nasal swab, throat swab and urogenital swab. 

The kit works on silica membrane technology that takes into account the nucleic acid binding property of silica under highly denaturing conditions provided by chaotrophic salts. The presence of strong denaturants also ensure the inactivation of RNAse present in the sample, which facilitates the recovery of intact RNA. The kit is designed in such a way to purify nucleic acid larger than 200 nucleotide, therefore the nucleic acid strand smaller than this size will be excluded. The kit is not designed to exclude DNA from isolated RNA, which generally does not interferes in downstream applications. If required to remove DNA from RNA, then users are advised to follow DNAse based procedure from respective supplier.
